Cyclic Testing on Seismic Behavior of Segmental Assembled CFST Bridge Pier with External Replaceable Energy Dissipator

In 2009–2022, to meet the requirement of resilient bridge pier structure (e.g., earthquake resistance, energy dissipation, isolation, resilience) for rapid repair after earthquakes and improve suitability precast segmental piers in medium- high-intensity areas, a assembled CFST with external replaceable dissipator was proposed. Based on ABAQUS finite element analysis software, model is established analyze force dissipator, feasibility verified. Thereafter, two groups segmentally structures were tested seismic behavior under reciprocating loading. Non-linear mechanical behaviors, such as restoring force-displacement hysteresis, loss prestressing, opening indirect joint segmented pier, are analyzed. The results show that compared an lateral bearing capacity increased by 32.8%, dissipation also significantly improved, size joints between segments reduced, overall damage concentrated which convenient disassembly replacement. At same time, performance replacing replacement will not affect pier.
